Here’s another little piece from Craigslist. A good friend of mine in Orlando came across this amp and picked it up for me. It came originally with a very tall 1x15 combo cabinet that needed a little TLC. It seemed that the amp didnt work at all, just a steady 60 Hz buzz. After looking a little closer, I found that the person that had the amp had put a 12AX7 in place of a 6AN8 which was not even close to being a similar pinout. Thus making the amp unuseable. After replacing the tube with the correct one, the amp came to life. It still had a pretty bad 60 hz hum which was more than likely that the filter caps were overdue to be replaced. Being that this was a circuit board based amp there was not too much room for doing any mods without a major headache. So it has been sold.
